Privacy Policy
Effective 8 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data. It is written to meet our obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia, as amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024.
Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. Who we are
CHUNOVATION PLT (Registration No. 202604001940 (LLP0047180-LGN)) is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@chunovation.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- This website, chunovation.com
- Crypto Analysis, our iOS application
- Invest Calculator, our iOS application
We refer to the applications together as “our apps”.
3. This website
The website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no login, and no forms.
- We use no cookies. Nothing is stored on your device by us.
- We use no analytics and no tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no behavioural measurement of any kind.
- We load nothing from third parties. Fonts, images and stylesheets are all served from our own domain, so no outside company sees your visit.
- No scripts run. The site ships no JavaScript at all.
The one thing that is recorded is standard server access logs, kept by our hosting provider so the site can be operated and kept secure. A log entry may contain your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser’s user agent string. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything else.
4. Our apps
What stays on your device
Our apps do not require an account, and you do not sign in to use them. The values you enter — calculator inputs, preferences, and settings — are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us.
Advertising
Our apps are free and supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may collect and process device information, including advertising identifiers.
On iOS, whether an app may use your device’s advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps and websites is controlled by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline that prompt, the identifier is not made available for tracking. You can also change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
How Google handles data collected through AdMob is set out in the Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how our apps are used in aggregate — which features are opened, how often, and where errors occur. This helps us decide what to fix and what to build. We do not use it to identify individual people.
Diagnostic and crash data
When something goes wrong, diagnostic information may be collected so we can investigate. This can include your IP address, device model, operating system version, the app’s configuration at the time, and the date and time of the problem.
Notifications
Crypto Analysis can send push notifications about market sentiment. If you allow them, Apple issues a device token that we use only to deliver those notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and we then stop sending them.
5. Why we process personal data
We process personal data only for these purposes:
- To operate, maintain and secure the website and our apps
- To deliver advertising, which is what makes the apps free to use
- To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the apps
- To diagnose faults, crashes and abuse
- To deliver notifications you have asked for
- To respond to you when you contact us
- To comply with the law
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
6. Who we disclose personal data to
We disclose personal data only to:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf — our hosting provider, and Google (for AdMob advertising, Firebase analytics, and crash reporting). They are permitted to use the data only to perform those services for us.
- Apple, to the extent it operates the App Store and the notification service.
- Authorities or other parties, where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
7. Security
We take practical steps to protect personal data, in line with the Security Principle under the PDPA. The website is served only over HTTPS and is configured with a strict content security policy and related protective headers. We keep the number of parties that touch personal data as small as we can.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. What we can commit to is handling problems properly if they arise — see section 12.
8. How long we keep personal data
- Server access logs — retained by our hosting provider for its standard operational period, then deleted.
- Diagnostic and crash data — kept only as long as it is useful for diagnosing the problem.
- Email you send us — kept as long as needed to deal with your message and to keep a record of what was agreed, then deleted.
We do not keep personal data for longer than the purpose it was collected for requires.
9. Your rights
Under the PDPA you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Withdraw consent to our processing of your personal data
- Limit processing, including asking us to stop processing for direct marketing
- Request data portability, where the amended PDPA provides for it
To exercise any of these, email support@chunovation.com. We will respond within 21 days, as the PDPA requires. We may need to ask you for information to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
Some rights have limits — for example, we may not be able to delete data we are required by law to keep. If we cannot do what you have asked, we will tell you why.
10. Transfers outside Malaysia
Our hosting provider and Google operate infrastructure outside Malaysia, so personal data described in this policy may be processed in other countries. Where we transfer personal data abroad, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that it will receive protection comparable to that required under the PDPA.
11. Children
Our apps are rated 4+ but they are not designed for or directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. If something goes wrong
If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess it immediately and, where the PDPA requires it, notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner as soon as practicable and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of it. Where the breach is likely to cause significant harm, we will notify the people affected as well.
13. Other websites and services
Our website and apps may link to services we do not operate. This policy does not apply to them. We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any service before you use it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and post the new version here. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will make that clear.
15. Contact and complaints
For any question, request or complaint about this policy or your personal data:
CHUNOVATION PLT Registration No. 202604001940 (LLP0047180-LGN) Email: support@chunovation.com
Please contact us first — we would rather fix a problem directly. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi, Malaysia).
16. Language
This policy is published in English and Bahasa Malaysia. If there is any inconsistency between the two versions, the English version prevails.
